A really popular style in the time, trickling down from fashion week, these are a lovely example of how to handle a bold contrast striped base well in footwear design. The grain working from toe to heel, with a cap that allows for any asymmetry to be covered with ease, leaving only the heel as a potential problem area. With a narrow stripe like this it’s not to jarring a mismatch, but they have still gone to the trouble of matching each stripe perfectly, which I adore! Isn't it soothing?! The shape is also quite classic, very vintage ‘Herbert Levine’ in it's shape and it’s heel curves.
